Cothay Manor & Gardens: Hidden for centuries it has remained virtually untouched since it was built in 1480. Said to be the finest example of a small classic medieval manor house remaining in the kingdom today. Recently featured on Channel 4’s County House Rescue.

National Trust Knightshayes Court & Gardens: A 19th century mansion built for Sir John Heathcoat-Amory.  It features rich gothic-style decorations and beautiful formal grounds, woodlands and ornamental shrubs.

Bickleigh Mill & Castle:  The castle is set amidst woods within the valley of the River Exe and Bickleigh Mill is also close by on the riverside.  A working water wheel, restaurant, waterside tea garden, farm shop and a pottery can all be found here.

Wimbleball Lake: Located on the eastern edge of Exmoor, with nearly 400 acres of water it has something for everyone: walking; fishing; sailing; cycling or just relaxing with a cream tea enjoying the views.

The West Somerset Railway:  This railway travels from Bishops Lydeard (near Tau nton) to Minehead through the beautiful Somerset countryside and coastline.  At 20 miles long its Britain’s longest heritage line
